Overview
Bound Studio approached us to design a limited-edition run of art books for an emerging photographer. The brief: make the book itself feel like an artwork — not just a container for images.
With a print run of only 500 copies, every detail had to be intentional. The reader should feel the craft before they open the cover.
The approach
We used a cloth-bound case with debossed type and a single foil-stamped asterisk mark. Inside, the grid is deliberately broken — images bleed, captions float, white space breathes.
Typesetting in a modified Garamond with generous leading gives the text a contemplative pace. The book doesn't rush you. It asks you to slow down.
